The Huskies managed to edge out Thunder Bay as they won the series opener by a score of 5-2. 2012 Northwoods League All-Star Joey Novak (Harvard) was the pitcher of record, he pitched seven innings, giving up two runs on four hits en route to his league best seventh win of the season. Wade Wass (Meridian CC) was the offensive star of the night. Wass went 3-4 with a home run and three RBIs. All-Star Trey Vavra (Madison College) and Paul Karmeris (North Florida) each had two hits. The Huskies managed to score five runs on nine hits.
